We
just got back from our yearly vacation in Yosemite. We stayed in lower falls
and had a really good time. Weather was good, but it has been so wierd this
year that the wild flowers haven't really bloomed and the dogwood which is usually
in full bloom was just starting to bloom. This is the first year we've been
brave enough to camp right down by the river. Now that the kids are older ,
we felt safe doing it. Great site right on the river with a view of Half Dome
at the end of our site. Kids did an experiment for school illustrating the uplift
that created the granite walls of the valley. That's Sam explaining the concept
to them. This year we drove up to Hetch Hetchy and did the hike to Wapoma Falls.
It was absolutely beautiful. Annie K wanted us to call a Helicopter to pick
her up on the way back, but of course we couldn't do that. If you want to see
